We watched Le Déclin de l’empire américain last night. I had only ever seen a small portion of the movie in my Quebec Cinema class. It’s one of those movies that was listed on many “top 10 greatest Canadian movies” lists during the 80’s and 90’s — and still shows up today. I read a couple reviews this morning and this one is the closest to my feelings, although I did enjoy it slightly more than this reviewer due to some locations, shots, and actors which would be recognizable to most Montréalers…
