There was quite the storm over Montréal last night. The plateau was lit up with lightning for about an hour. We managed to snap a couple good pictures. The wind was so strong that it blew one of our large potted aloe plants off of a north-facing windowsill to crash over the kitchen floor.

“A vicious storm that hit Quebec Tuesday evening left two men dead and cut off electricity to hundreds of thousands.

Winds gusting up to 100 kilometres an hour knocked down trees and hydro poles.

A 28-year-old man was killed when a tree fell on his car while he was driving near Mount Royal, Montreal police said.”
