I was going to write this long post bemoaning the service we received at Stadig campground in Wells, Southern Maine last weekend, but I’ll keep it short and simple. We were flat out lied too, told we couldn’t stay one night that we have reserved and paid for, tricked into playing more, and then upon leaving a couple minutes after their 11am checkout time - refused our deposit for the bathroom keys. The worst service I have ever received anywhere for any reason.

Bottom line — stay away from Stadig Campground in Wells, Maine. There are plenty of other options close by that you can turn to that offer much better service and have much better sites/rules/people running them (this was the first and last time at Stadig for us).
